Project Planning Template For Rocket Launch

Name:Lola And Cate
Term:  3

Initial Ideas:

To make a rocket, launch it with air pressure, collect the data and look a the differences and see who much water it takes to make it fly ,once we have done this we will test the rocket several times to see if the rocket could still fly high if we don’t change the amount of water but we change the amount of air pumped into the rocket.

Dispositional focus:
Researching:I have Researched from a wide range of sources.
Questioning:I have asked questions that are logical.
Reasoning :I have analsed the facts.

Building knowledge, understanding and skills

Taking Action

Defining the challenge

Project description
We want to find out if the amount of water affects how high the rocket fights.

It takes to Presenting

We are going to present by pictures's,table graphs,Videos and research

Driving questions

What is air pressure?
Does the amount of water affect how far the rocket can travel?

Inquiry

Curriculum links

Literacy (Writing, reading, visual, oral)
Research - what is air pressure? How does water in a container affect air pressure?
Write our hypothesis.
Write the instructions for doing the experiment.
WRite a conclusion/explanation on what we found out in our experiment.

Science/Technology/ Arts/ Social Sciences

Using the scientific process.
Learning about air pressure and the forces used to push something (aka the rocket) into the air without fuel.

Maths
Collect data (table)
Put data into a graph to analyse it.

Special Requirements

Air pump,Corks
